오늘 소개해드리는 학교는 미국 중/남부인 Arizona 주 Tempe 에 위치한 Conservatory of Recording Art & Science 란 학교 입니다.

그럼 카다로그를 한번 소개해 드리죠.

[History] 1980년 뉴욕의 Songshop studio 라는 곳에서 성인 교육 프로그램 형식으로 레코딩 강의를 시작 했습니다.

1987년 아리조나 주로 이사를 오고 나서 "Academy of Recording Science" 로 이름을 만들었습니다.

1988년엔 지금의 명칭인 Conservatory of Recording Art & Science 로 명칭을 바꾼후 아리조나주 정식 허가를 받았군요.

그 이후로 계속 무럭 무럭 (^^) 시설도 늘리고 이런 저렁 입상도 하고... 그랬다는 연혁이 있습니당.

280 hours 총 900 hours 의 먼저 프로그램보다 좀더 심화된 그런 프로그램들로 보이는군요.

자.... 그럼 이 빠방한 studio 장비들과 그리고 훌륭한 curriculum들...

항상 위 두가지를 보고서 이 학교는 어떻다... 저떻다.... 그렇게 얘기들 합니다.

그리고 제가 사실상 여러분들께 제공할수 있는 정보는 거의 이정도 입니다.

그러나 제가 조금 욕심이 나는것은 정말 제일 중요한... 학생들이 받을수 있는 Studio Hour 가 얼만큼 이냐!!!! 가 궁금했답니다.

수업료도 물어볼겸... 겸사 겸사 해서 전화를 한통화 당겼습니다.

Studio Hour 를 얼만큼 받을수 있냐는 질문에 "unlimited!" 라고 대답을 하더군요!!! 그래서 제가 "그게 뭔소리냐?" 하고 물으니 학생이 원하는 만큼 사용할수 있다~~ 라는 대답 였숨당..

좀 야릇한~~대답 였습니다.

그런데.. 다행히 울학교 과후배인 조 00 양 칭구분께서 이곳 학교에서 지금 재학중이라서 한번 알아봐 달라고 부탁을 했습니다.

대답은 No~~~ 였다는군요.

많은 학생수와 어마어마하게 비싼 장비때문인지 studio 를 학생들에게 그렇게 마음껏 내주지 않는다고 하더군요.

정말 아깝죠??? 좋은 장비들을 멋지게 장식품처럼 장식 해놓고 있으니까요....

정말 좋은 레코딩 학교라면 학교 스튜디오를 24시간 쌩쌩 돌려야 한다고 생각합니다.

그럼 수업료를 밝히면서 (?) 이번 학교 소개를 마치겠습니다.

10개월 코스 $12,500 입니다.

한화로 하면... 음.. 한 1500만원 정도일거 같습니다.
