CONTEST: HAVE ROGER NICHOLS MIX YOUR PROJECT

Roger Nichols Digital is hosting a contest in which Nichols himself will mix the winning projects. Ten entries will be chosen as semi-finalists. The semi-finalists will be asked to submit their entire DAW project, including all session documents and audio files on CD-R, DVD-R or Blu-Ray disc for final evaluation. Three of these projects will then be mixed by Roger Nichols. The other seven entries will receive a comprehensive analysis of their projects, including suggestions for improving the submitted recording. The selected projects will be posted on the Roger Nichols Digital Website, along with a short description of their key elements. The submitted mix serves as the "before" version, and Roger will enhance the mix using RND plug-ins to create an "after" version. The entire project file will be returned to the three winners, along with all preset files, so their creators can see and learn from Roger's techniques. Contestants should send an MP3 file of their current mix and a short description to Roger Nichols Digital by Oct. 30, 2006. RND will notify via return e-mail if the project is chosen for further consideration and ask for the complete project files to be sent. The project must be in one of the following DAW formats:

*Digidesign Pro Tools
*Steinberg Cubase
*Apple Logic Pro
*MOTU Digital Performer
